Becki TuckerAfter being an emergency/critical care Veterinary nurse for 14 years I decided it was time to explore a new career. The next question was what would I consider? I'm a fast paced, detailed, love for animal person. What new path was there? What was still all about the health, welfare, maintenance, happiness and helping dogs? After visiting Wizard of Paws and meeting Debbie Saunders I was immediately knew this was exactly what I wanted!

My passion is in dogs, knowing, understanding and figuring them out. In 1998 I rescued my first Siberian Husky and began recreational sled dog racing. I then adopted every issue dog with a wrap sheet a mile long. By 2000 I had a pack of: escape artists, behavior problems, displaced aggression, aggressive, battered, abused, neglected, and misunderstood dogs. While some liked being in harness and were great, a few never cared for it. Either way they were part of our family and since I was the 3rd or 6th home for these dogs I saw no reason to place them just because they couldn't run. It did make me start noticing build, gait, structure.

Becki TuckerIn 2005 I began making changes to Outlaw Ridge. I decided to take racing, owning, and running dogs more seriously and to the next the level. We are now a competitive mid-distance team with our own breeding program. Racing and training is a major part in me and the dogs but it is not what it's all about. This is my family. We live our life much like a wolf pack. We live by the same code and discipline and share the same loyalty, love, trust and respect as a pack. Each dog has strengths and weakness. Even if they no longer hold a strong presence on the team they still do in the pack and our hearts.
